First post...

So, i decided to start a blog mainly because facebook just isn't working for me any more.  I think its great to keep in contact with people but at the same time i feel its just too easy for people i don't know to steal my personal infomation, but even more scarey, steal photos of my babies.  I know a blog could be just as bad, but i'm not going to be posting a lot of photos like i did on facebook.  So, we'll see how this blogging thing goes!

Now that thats out of the way, here goes for the fun stuff.  I don't know if anyone even cares enough to read about us and our lives out here in Nova Scotia, but enjoy!  So heres "the low down" in Misner house these days...

Heres a funny story about Ava:  Just before Christmas i noticed a big change in her matuirty.  She was so cooperative and so easy to reason with.   She listened so intently to our "adult conversations".  So one day i decided to let her know how proud i was in her and let her know i noticed how hard she was trying to be "a good girl".  So this is her response to my praise, "yes, mommy i'm being a very good girl so Santa will come!!!!!"  I just had to laugh.  All her work was so Santa would come and leave her presents!  We had told her around Christmas time that Santa's Elves were watching her so she better behave.  I guess she really believed they were watching and she sure was a good girl.  She still is, but certaintly has her good days and her not so good days.

Sienna is a very funny little girl.  Every little facial expression she makes, every little move she makes makes my heart smile.  She can be very sweet, but definatly has a stubborn side.  we sure love our little Sienna.  Lately Steve has been trying to tell her shes a big girl and she doens't NEED a soother and that she needs to start using the potty.  So, a few weeks ago she came to me while i was brushing my teeth and she said to me "mommy i just a baby, i need my soother".  Since then she tells me often that shes just a baby or that shes little and needs her soother (since she can ONLY have her soother if shes in her bed or in the car)   She sure loves that thing.  I know she could probably give it up in a few short days, but if it gives me a little peace and its not doing any harm to her, why not let it hang around for a few more months!!??

So, after having 2 girls and now we have our little boy it sure is different!  I call Elliott my little monster.  Because hes just that, A LITTLE MONSTER!  He gets into everything, i mean everything!  I can only imagine what else hes going to get into when hes older.  But hes sweet and lovey and i wouldn't trade him for anything.  Hes doing so much these days.  Just before his 1st Birthday he started walking, hes climbs on anything and everything he can, eating just about anyting we give him but only if HE can do it himslef.  If i ty to feed him he puts his nose up at me and looks away from me but once i put the bowl in front of him he starts to chow down.  Hes a funny boy and we sure love having him in our little family.

Well, i'm going to end for now.  I sure hope this blog thing really works out and will keep us connected with our familes and friends near or far!  Well, bye for now and hope to hear from anyone out there who may be reading my ramblings, love amber xo
